The Love Witch Collection

On the 16th January, we announced over on our instagram something super exciting... The Love Witch... an inspired true vintage collection. 

Here at Daisies Junk, we have done many inspired vintage drops, from the likes of; Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Craft and Daisy Jones and the Six. Since shifting our brand to focus on predominantly 1960's and 1970's vintage fashion, we thought it only fitting to make a plunge by working on a collection that embodies all our favourite fashion elements of those eras, and what better film than The Love Witch to do that? 

But what is The Love Witch? 

The Love Witch is a 2016 dark comedy / horror film, directed produced and all round created by Anna Biller. The film gained popularity and attention for being shot in technicolour, a homage to films of an era gone by. Yet the main point of interest (especially for us vintage girlies) was the incredible costume design. 

Anna Biller was not only the director, editor and producer of the movie, but she also sourced (and even handmade) all costume seen in The Love Witch. She even made the pentagram rug...What a girl boss! We see our Elaine sporting a mixture of Hammer Horror inspired vivid reds, deep purples, whilst contrasting in other scenes by wearing Gunne Saxe prairie dresses and floaty nightwear.

What will be in the collection?

We have been sourcing for this collection for the past two months to ensure we have the best quality pieces to give to you, in a range of sizes and styles, all true to the iconic outfits seen in The Love Witch. The collection will predominantly contain dresses, as this is what we see Elaine in throughout the film, but there will also be some vintage nightwear in there too! 

As a later addition, I realised I could not release this collection without including some genuine vintage jewellery, so expect to see magical pendant chains and more!

When will the collection drop?
